Guidelines For Tourists
Dear Sir,
This is to inform you regarding the touts, people who mislead tourists
when they reach Delhi Railway Stations/Delhi Airports/Delhi Bus
Terminals. These touts, usually Auto/Taxi Drivers or Agents, pose as
representatives of Hotels and Guest Houses, mislead tourists in
following manner:
1. Take the guests/tourists to nearby tourist office under the pretext
of getting a confirm booking. In the office, they make a parallel call
and customer thinks that hotel is full. Then they take tourists to
substandard hotel and charge exorbitant prices.
2. Their main motive is to get hefty commission from these substandard
hotels. So keeping in mind the security of tourist it is advisable not
to believe these persons and reach directly to your hotel or contact the
hotel.
3. Try to confirm your booking in advance and the safest way is ask the
hotel for pickup facility and furnish all the relevant information at
the time of booking by phone or fax to the hotel about your
train/coach/flight number with date & time of arrival
